Naples, January 4, 2025 – Anguissa had dedicated the goal to him in Udine, last December: “Forza Daniele”, was written on the Napoli player's cuffs shown to the cameras. But the little Daniele he didn't make it. The deputy confirmed it Antonio Conte, Christian Stellini, in the post-match of Fiorentina-Napoli and that's the reason why the coach from Salento didn't appear on Dazn's microphones to comment on the match, sending Stellini in his place.

A bittersweet victory for Napoli today in Florence: "We are happy with the match - said Stellini, moved - but we have received a bad blow. The coach apologizes for not being here, but we have lost a person very dear to us, very close to all of Napoli. A little boy left us just this afternoon". ''On behalf of the team we want to send a big hug to Daniele's family, today he will watch us from up there, we will miss him a lot, he has given us so many lessons'', he declared in the press room Leonardo Spinazzola.

Even the president of the company, Aurelio De Laurentiis, wanted to remember him with a message on X, dedicating today's victory of the Neapolitans to him. His son Edoardo, vice president of Napoli, instead entrusted his greeting Daniele to Instagram. "Have a good trip, great little champion, you fought like a warrior", he wrote in a story on his profile, accompanying the post with a photo showing the very young fan celebrating with the team.

Daniele, 13 years old, was long-time sufferer from leukemia, but despite this he never stopped cheering for his favorite team and became its mascot.
