Hellas Verona raises its head and wins 3-2 at the Tardini in Parma
Coppola, Sarr and Mosquera score. Sohm's brace is in vain for the Emilians

Mosquera's celebration after the goal against Parma (Alive)
Parma, 15 December 2024 – Roar of pride from theGreece Verona who, after four defeats in a row, find your way to success conquering the Tardini Parma 3-2. Three points that allow the Scaligeri to breathe and catch up with the Emilians in the standings, also consolidating the position of mister Paolo Zanetti on the Verona bench. It took just 5 minutes to understand that Verona would be serious today: that's what it tookor Coppola to head home the away advantage. Parma, however, showed great character and immediately reacted by equalising the scores with Sohm at 22' and in the second half, also thanks to the changes made by Pecchia, tried to further increase the engine revs, but just at the best moment of the home team Verona's 2-1 has arrived, on the developments of a restart finalized by Sarr on the second assist of the evening by Harroui, who then left due to injury. Not satisfied, Hellas continued to push and also scored the third goal with the new arrival flycatcher, but in the end they had to protect themselves from the comeback of the home team who, in the 90th minute, shortened the gap thanks to the second goal by Sohm, making the 5 minutes of injury time more lively but then failing to complete the comeback.
First half
Hellas got off to a blistering start and wasted no time in taking to the field with great competitive ferocity and after just 5 minutes created the first chance with Sarr who, one-on-one with Suzuki, was stopped by Valeri's providential intervention, who took refuge in a corner. However, it was precisely on the developments of the following corner that the Scaligero advantage: Coppola is the one who signs it who collects Harroui's cross and heads past Suzuki. It's all over for the Emilians when, just a minute later, Estevez is forced to throw in the towel due to injury and make way for Haj Mohamed. Hellas senses the blow and in the 10th minute also creates the opportunity to double the lead with Harroui, who misses the right opportunity with the ball on Lazovic's low and tight cross. After breathing a sigh of relief, the Emilians have the strength to react and in the 11th minute they reply with a conclusion from a slightly off-centre position by Man, for which Montipò is ready. An initial flash that increases the home team's confidence, who managed to equalise in the 22nd minute thanks to a goal by Sohm who deflected the defence's clearance into the net in the area on a previous poisonous conclusion by Bonny. The goal by the Swiss player rebalances a match played at a high pace which however in the second part of the initial 45' does not provide further and particular emotions, but only a lot of imprecision in the construction phase on both fronts.
Second half
After the break, Pecchia opts for a double substitution, inserting Keita and Almqvist, who enters the game, almost giving Emilia the lead in the 46th minute with a shot that ends up just over the crossbar. In probably the best moment for Pecchia's team, who are trying to make the game, But then comes the goal for Hellas to make it 2-1, scored by Sarr who, at the end of a counterattack, receives the second assist of the evening from Harroui, anticipates Delprato and scores the lead. The Dutch midfielder, after having played the role of the prompter, in the 64th minute also tries to play the role of the finisher and, at the height of an action very similar to that of the 2-1, he just misses the target on a suggestion from Lazovic but fails to hit the target. In this attempt, however, the Hellas player suffers a knee problem and is forced to leave to make room for Mosquera, who enters the field together with Daniliuc and Livramento. In Parma, on the other hand, Hinaut comes in for Leoni, but it is Man in the 70th minute who misses the equaliser with a shot that goes just wide. An error paid a very high price for the Emilians, because the Verona on the counterattack he is very poisonous and at 75' he does not forgive thanks to his fresh strength: Suzuki manages to neutralize Livramento's shot, escaped the less than perfect marking of Balogh, but nothing can be done about Mosquera's rebound into the net. The Colombian's goal, however, is not enough to protect Hellas from risks, who almost scores a poker with Belahyane's curling shot, but in the end they capitulate again because Sohm, after having missed a good opportunity in the heart of the area in the 88th minute, shortens the distance 2' with a low shot from the edge, which nestles in the corner to the right of Montipò. The 5' of added time left, however, are not enough for the Emilians to bring the match back to parity, which at the triple whistle of Sozza ends 2-3.
