What our newspaper's report cards tell us. January, Semper's great month

Another month spent entirely with the high gears engaged, the foot pressed on the accelerator and the wind in the face of those who find themselves leading the group together with their breakaway companions. In January, Pisa collected three victories and a draw, always displaying convincing and very often exhilarating performances. A performance that translates into very high ratings for almost all of its interpreters, protagonists with a more or less extensive playing time of the march. The month just gone by saw goalkeeper Adrian Semper in the spotlight, on many occasions stepping into the Superman role to protect the Nerazzurri goalposts. The goalkeeper closed January with a "monster" average of 7,25. But if we talk about exceptional ratings, no one beats Oliver Abildgaard: after spending a bit on the sidelines of his teammates' ride, in recent weeks the Danish midfielder, after having definitively put behind him the physical ailments that had tormented him until the end of 2024, has literally taken flight. His January ended with an average of 7,75. Also standing out were his compatriots Malthe Hojholt with a full 7 and Alexander Lind, the true driving force of the Nerazzurri attack, with an average of 6,75. Among them is another player who has few equals in terms of charisma and importance on the pitch: Stefano Moreo ended last month with an average of 6,88, on par with Simone Canestrelli. A few hundredths of a vote less for another player who has managed to carve out a leading role for himself, redeeming all the doubts that had accompanied him in the first part of his experience in Pisa: Adrian Rus ended January with an average of 6,83. All the other players in the squad were well above the pass mark, including new arrivals Leonardo Sernicola and Henrik Meister, protagonists of good moments of the game when called upon by Inzaghi. The only two players below the pass mark were Marius Marin and Alessandro Arena. The first obviously pays for the ill-advised elbow given to Tongya in the match against Salernitana, which "dirtied" an average rating that would otherwise have been very high as always. The second, on the other hand, was weighed down by the lackluster performance given in Catanzaro, the only match in which he took home the rating having played as a starter.
