What the Calendar Says. A February to Maximize

With the window of transfer market behind us, we can shift our focus exclusively to the playing field. After an extremely positive month of January for the Pisa, with ten points gained in four games, the result of three wins and a draw, a more compressed February has now begun (just three games scheduled), but equally important, considering that each matchday represents ninety minutes less towards the end of the championship. The first opponent for Inzaghi's team will be a historically difficult one: Citadel. Fresh from the defeat against the Spezia, and with the poisoned tooth of the "Degosus case" of the first leg, which allowed the Nerazzurri to win by default, the Venetians are looking for points at the Arena on Saturday at 15pm. At the same time, the Sassuolo di Grosso will be a guest of Mantova (just one win in the last five).
Of the three in the lead, the Spezia will be the last to go down: Sunday at 15pm at the "Picco" there will be a challenge with Palermo, in the challenge between Lapadula and Pohjanpalo. The following week, however, the Pisa will play in the late match, in Cesena on Sunday 16 February at 17:15: the Nerazzurri will play already aware of the result of the complicated away match Spezia in Modena and the meeting of the Sassuolo against Maran's Brescia, looking for important points in the lower part of the table. We therefore arrive at the twenty-seventh matchday: the black-greens will be guests on Friday 21 February at 20:30 in a red-hot Marassi against Sampdoria. A result that will act as a thermometer for the other two: on Saturday 22 it will be the turn of Pisa, which will host Juve Stabia at the Cetilar Arena, a team against which it suffered its first defeat of the season last September, while on Sunday, lastly, D'Angelo's team will host Catanzaro.
There are no easy matches in February, especially in this one. Serie B, where all the teams are busy looking for points to achieve their goal. It is important to maximize the path as much as possible, considering the first two challenges in March, with the double away match scheduled: first Sassuolo-Pisa, Then Spezia-Pisa, where the distances of the top teams in the rankings will truly be rewritten and defined.
