The race to the top of Serie B is becoming increasingly clear after the last round of the championship, with Pisa, Sassuolo and Spezia continuing to grind out points, while their closest pursuers are further behind. Now the playoffs could seriously not be played out. Sassuolo beat Juve Stabia, moving up to 55 points, followed by Pisa at 53 after another convincing victory, and Spezia, now third with 48 points. Behind, Cremonese remains stuck at 37 points, after the away defeat in Salerno. The rule is clear: if at the end of the championship the gap between the third and fourth-placed teams is at least 14 points, the playoffs are cancelled and the top three go directly to the top flight. Currently, with Pisa and Sassuolo firmly in the lead and Spezia 11 points ahead of Cremonese, this eventuality no longer seems so remote. In the meantime, Pisa Sporting Club's training week will start again this afternoon, after two days of rest, following the corsair victory in Palermo, with the Nerazzurri struggling with some absences and Cittadella (Saturday at 15 pm at the Arena) in their sights. Marius Marin will still be missing for one round, having to serve the second match of his suspension. Inzaghi is spoiled for choice, being able to count not only on Abildgaard, but also Hojholt, Piccinini and the new signing Solbakken. Idrissa Touré will also be absent, having been cautioned against Palermo. The most logical choice could be the new signing Sernicola, while on the left Angori will act as always, but surprises are not excluded. The mystery of the week will once again be dedicated to Matteo Tramoni, who is also in doubt against Cittadella.
