Success for the favourite Brillantissime in the Unione Industriale Pisana award. The Nerazzurri coach with his family at the racecourse: photos and autographs

Favourites and outsiders (as always) yesterday at San Rossore, with an unforeseen event: the presence of the Nerazzurri coach Pippo Inzaghi, with his wife and children, who captured the attention of the public. Autographs and photos galore for the great availability shown by the coach. Inzaghi also made a foray to the saddlery round where the crowd immediately tripled (pictured next to it). The last time a Pisa coach went to the racecourse causing the right amount of noise was Luis Vinicio in 1984.

And now we come to the races. Further indications were expected from the Pisan Industrial Union Award, for 3-year-old horses over the distance of two kilometres. In this race, in fact, colts with stamina competed and a success at this point in the season can always authorize one to believe even the impossible. This is why the success of the favourite Very brilliant (in the first photo), clean even after a demanding race, was welcomed with particular satisfaction in his team. Andrea Madonna, president of the Union, proceeded to the award ceremony. The other 2000 meter race, but reserved for horses of 4 years and older, was the Banca Popolare di Lajatico prize. There were excellent and tested subjects in comparison even if the favorite ended up being the tested Cime Wuthering Heights. But it was not his day. He won The Big Black (S. Sulas) preceding Fly By Fly. The prize winners were Antonio Centi and Marco Dini. A rich handicap over the distance of 1200 meters was the HTS Verde Sportivo prize that celebrates the activity of a very vital company in the Pisan and national territory. Mucias Gracias, who was the clear favorite, disappeared, finishing in last place. The Roman's sprint was unstoppable Entered (S. Sulas), his third consecutive success.

The racecourse also remembered, with a maiden over 2000 metres, Pier Giorgio Terranova, a passionate rider who passed away at a young age. Ten 3-year-old horses at the start and the outsider won Crigae (D. Di Tocco). “The boys of the Pulmino” delivered the pair they had put up for grabs. The festive convention opened with the race reserved for gentlemen riders and female riders, the prize being Carlo Carlini, who was an owner, trainer, and a highly skilled rider (he won 525 races in his long career) and also played an important role as an advisor in the new Alfea that was being rebuilt in the 1965s around the presidency of Harry Bracci Torsi. It was XNUMX and Carlini from Monza managed to convince the industrialist and friend Celeste Citterio to build the new “Aurora” stables in Pisa, along Viale Cascine.
