The designations for Reggiana-Cesena. Another 'young-experienced' tandem: Arena whistles and Doveri at the VAR

Evidently the referees like it that way. After Crezzini in the derby with Modena, assisted by Maresca via the Var, here is a new 'young-expert' tandem. Or rather debuting, because the referee for Reggiana-Cesena will be Ruben Alberto Arena (photo), from the Torre Annunziata section, in his first year in Can A and B just like the referee for the Secchia derby (and Bolzano). Arena, son of art (father Francesco refereed 16 matches in A and 57 in B between 1992 and '95) will have Doveri at the monitor, that is, one of the most important referees in the entire Italian panorama who has recently refereed big matches such as Atalanta-Juventus, Napoli-Atalanta or Juventus-Napoli. In short, if those observing from Lissone want to intervene decisively, they will certainly have the authority and the prestige to do so. It is the new football that the public and viewers like less and less, constantly waiting for a judgment that rains down from above, that prolongs the times and takes away emotions. Arena's collaborators will be Trinchieri and Trasciatti, the 'fourth official' will be Giaquinto and Volpi will be the Var assistant. This year Arena had already been designated in Reggiana-Mantova (2-2). In Serie C he had directed Reggiana in Pistoia (2-0 victory for the granata) in the 2021-2022 season. Up until yesterday evening, tickets for the derby (on sale on the Vivaticket circuit) had been 1912 tickets sold, of which 1471 for the away sector.
