Too many market hitches. Now they are problems for Viali

The coach would have liked to train 23 players (goalkeepers included). But the squad has not been reduced and 28 remain

Pomegranate thorns. The snags of market - with the DS Pinching who were unable to place the 'surplus' and consequently to make the last necessary entries - leave behind a legacy not very homogeneous, but at the same time 'extralarge' with 28 athletes.

A real headache for Viali who now, despite the recommendations 'I want a maximum of 23 players, including the third goalkeeper', will have to manage at least a couple of unpleasant situations, having some elements on the fringes of the team group train.

The coach finds himself without a left back (now the 'adapted' Libutti plays) and must clear up many misunderstandings. The first is Stulac who has played one minute, in Mantua, in the last eleven games after being the object of the summer desire of the coach himself. Another 'mystery object' is the left full-back Oliver Urso, who arrived in Reggio as an asset to be developed with a three-year contract, but who in seven months has set foot on the pitch three times for a total of 49 minutes: his last appearance dates back to November 29 with Sassuolo.

A similar story, or worse, concerns Yannis Nahounou, the immature defender fished by Pizzimenti from the fifth French division and with no professional experience. A player owned by the club who has played just four minutes in seven months because he is absolutely not ready for the category and who would have done well to go elsewhere to gain experience. Perhaps there is hope of placing him in some situation abroad that is still open, but after months the logic of the operation is still not clear.

If at least two of these three players had left, Reggiana could have at least taken a left back or a striker, with Russo who was the 'promised groom' of the Granata, but who then ended up mockingly at Cesena. The Romagnoli, on Sunday at 15 pm, could immediately deploy him against Bardi.

In addition to these three 'thorns' there are also the ambiguous situations of Kabashi and Pettinari, first 'dissidents' and excluded, then reinstated at the request of Amadei and returned to being protagonists, then sidelined in the last match with Sudtirol, probably in the hope of placing them at the photo finish of the market. Both have expiring contracts (as does Fiamozzi, another little considered) and the hope is that they still have the desire to fight for a cause that from July will certainly no longer be theirs.

The additions of Sosa (all to be discovered) and Kumi (first flashes not comforting) are the bare minimum compared to three exits (Cavallini, Okwonkwo and Fontanarosa) that from a budgetary point of view have very little impact. Little was expected from this January market, but here we probably went below the threshold.
