The text of the candidacy

This is the full text shared on social media: "It was Brazilian football that opened the doors to the entire world for me. Not as a player, I'm not talking about my history. Our football is much bigger than me. I'm talking about wearing the national team's shirt, the weight it carries. Representing Brazilian football in every corner of the planet and an ancient passion that goes far beyond its borders. We are still the only five-time world champion team, but at the moment also our concept of excellence is far below our potential. Honestly, I don't think that our greatest defeats in recent years have occurred inside the camp, but outside, in the palace of institutions. I stopped playing, but I never left the game. It was like a broadening of the vision: connected with people and companies I had many important conversations behind the scenes. My motivations for this candidacy are countless, the biggest one is the belief that I can really contribute to regain respect for Brazilian football: I speak of management, of changing our structures while preserving what sustains us, reforming what makes us collapse as an institution. I hope for a CBF loved by Brazilians, respected throughout the world. A unprecedented transformation and powerful, which can dialogue with the entire sector - clubs, federations, athletes, sponsors and fans - which gives the protagonists back the role they deserve. I will travel to every corner of Brazil, I will listen to all those people who need to be listened to - today and always - and I will present to the Federations a never-before-seen private investment project for the sustainable growth of sport in every state of the country: we must continue to generate business, work and entertainment, with innovation. And rebuild the credibility of the maximum entity of Brazilian football, with our old passion in new times".
