Where were we? A little less than a month ago, when Fabio Grosso celebrated, with the team, staff, management and players, the Serie A in Piazza Garibaldi in front of the fans. Here he is again, the mister, protagonist of the panel held in Milan, on the occasion of the 'Milan Football Week' organized by the Gazzetta dello Sport. With him, on stage, Giovanni Stroppa, at this point former coach of the newly promoted Cremonese and the journalist Nicola Binda.

Serie B, "a championship that is always balanced and difficult to face", is in the archives, the top division is a horizon that the coach of Sassuolo studies with great attention and equal awareness. "We are a company that has done beautiful things in Italian football, we were good at returning to Serie A, but now a difficult championship awaits us and we will try in every way to stay in this category to then always be able to plan a better future", said, among other things, Grosso, identifying one of the key moments of Sassuolo's season in the defeat against Cremonese ("I have to thank Giovanni", he said addressing Stroppa) after which the Neroverdi have not made any more mistakes.

Water under the bridge: today is a well-deserved vacation and a season that for Sassuolo begins in less than a month, with a meeting and retreat, because the goal, adds the black-green coach, "is to be ready, immediately immersing ourselves in this new reality". Very far, it is true, from Serie B, but to be faced with the same spirit with which Sassuolo faced and overcame the pitfalls that Serie B, which was an even more feared unknown, presented to them.

The accounts are made, adds Grosso, "with a higher level", and with the need to "raise the bar, starting with the first championship match, the one against Napoli, which will already be a good test". Much, it goes without saying, will come from the market, but after last summer - an oversized group, an environment depressed by relegation - the one that is coming, you can say it will be complicated. This one, with the top flight on the horizon, will undoubtedly be complicated, but much more stimulating. Also for Grosso, who returns to Serie A after five seasons after his last, and only, experience in Brescia.
