Inter suffers but beats Udinese 2-1: Arnautovic and Frattesi decide
The Nerazzurri try to escape, a great first half opens the way to victory over Udinese. Suffering second half, Sommer saves the result

Inter-Udinese (Ansa)
Milan, March 30, 2025 - A Inter two-faced team tries to extend its lead at the top of the table. The league leaders struggle to beat Udinese for two to one (arnautovic e Fraternity on one side, Solet on the other), with Yann Summer absolute protagonist of the second half. Stellar Inter in the first half, with choral play, pace, quality and a knockout one-two in the first half hour. In the second half, the decline, also thanks to the growth of Udinese with an extra attacker. Solet he scares Inter with a torpedo from distance, then Summer he works two miracles, one on the defender at the end of the game and one on Lucca in aerial turn. Inzaghi, sent off for protesting at the end, will not be on the bench in Parma.
Super Inter in the first half with Arnautovic and Frattesi
Inzaghi, without Lautaro, chooses arnautovic as Thuram's attacking partner, while Dimarco and Darmian return to the wing. Runjaic, without Thauvin, confirms the rumours of the day before and launches Ekkelenkamp in the three-quarter position to support Lorenzo Lucca. Inter start sprint and immediately find the right foot of Calhanoglu from the edge, on a pass from Thuram: the ball goes to the outside of the net and gives the illusion of a goal. The match was clearly divided with Inter maintaining possession and Udinese trying to start a counterattack, but without Thauvin's creativity it is more difficult, so the Nerazzurri quickly take control of the game and Fraternity almost takes the lead with his right foot in the 5th minute. Udinese is dancing, even more so shortly after with a bloody mistake by Karlstrom that opens the counterattack for Inter, with Frattesi who is first blocked by Solet and then, on the rebound, by the post. The Nerazzurri play with impressive quality and the first goal arrives in the 12th minute. Thuram masterfully controls the action, then arnautovic builds it and closes it in the center of Marco's: a winning left-footed shot and 1-0. San Siro immediately in raptures. The hosts in control of the operations, always with the feeling of being able to do damage with Mkhitaryan's forays, who always manages to slip between the lines without Udinese being able to find a remedy. It is precisely on a construction orchestrated by the Armenian that the second arrives. The service for Marco's it's perfect for timing, so the winger can cross easily for the insertion of Fraternity: 2-0 at 30'. It is, in fact, a Nerazzurri monologue in terms of pace, intensity and quality and it seems that Inzaghi's team has found excellent form for the end of the season, to try to bring home all three trophies in play. The Friulian opportunity, the first, arrives only at 36'. The ball travels from right to left, then Ehizibue crosses for the header of Lucca which ends up centrally in the arms of Sommer. It could have been done better. Inter raises and lowers the pace at will and in the 41st minute a splendid low action, also manoeuvred by Sommer, frees the usual central incursion Mkhitaryan who concludes from the edge with the defense struggling to save. In the event of a goal, San Siro would have come down due to the Nerazzurri's build-up. At half-time it is 2-0.
Solet reopens it, but Sommer holds it
Runjaic's initial choice, that is Ekkelenkamp alongside Lucca, did not pay, so the coach opens the second half with Iker Bravo on the pitch to try to provide more offensive weight. Udinese actually has a different attitude and the new arrival immediately makes himself noticed for his intense pressing and a diagonal right-footed shot that goes out wide, giving the impression of a different attitude compared to the first half. Inzaghi instead changes in the 55th minute, giving space to Correa who replaces Arnautovic, who played an excellent match. However, it is not the same Inter as in the first half, the precision is lower, the intensity in counter-attacking is not as effective and so Udinese is able to stay in the game more even without creating any great scoring opportunities. The start of the second half is not amazing, with assorted errors on both sides, but Inter can manage a two-goal lead and it is Udinese who must do something more and better to try to straighten out the game. The home team however comes close to scoring a third in the 62nd minute with a left-footed shot Marco's from the edge that flies just over the crossbar. Inzaghi changes again and opts for Bisseck, Asllani and Barella to rotate the men in view of the triple commitment and run in all the players, on the other side Runjaic goes with Zarraga, Payero and Rui Modesto. The match seems to have no turning point, Inter can put the situation to sleep and manage the score and the clock, heading into the last quarter of the match with a double advantage. However, a bolt from the blue arrives and hurls it Solet, with a thirty-meter sprint and a dry right-footed shot that beats unstoppably Summer: 2-1 at 71'. Suddenly, the final minutes light up and Udinese believe, finding the verve to look for an unexpected equaliser. Two minutes later, on the cross of Rui Modesto, the aerial turn appears Lucca: miracle of Summer. Totally changed match. Inzaghi tries to make amends with Zalewski in place of Darmian and he certainly didn't like the passive attitude of his team after a great first half. Inter could have closed the game in the 80th minute with Mkhitaryan on a persistent action, but the right-footed shot from close range is sky-high. Passionate ending, with the score back in balance and Solet, in the 92nd minute he has a chance on a corner development but Sommer makes the second great save of the match. There is also time for an expulsion for Inzaghi, who left the technical area to protest with Chiffi. The last ball in the box is pafundi, which gives Sommer the shivers but Payero is blocked at the most beautiful moment. Inter wins, with some worries. Inaghi tries the definitive escape.
