Mirco Antenucci celebrates his career with an emotional party at Mazza, between thanks and memories.

The back-and-forth between the ultras and President Tacopina did not ruin the party organized to celebrate the career of captain Antenucci, who will hang up his boots at the end of the season.

On the day of his last official championship match, the white and blue club gave the number 7 the deserved catwalk in the stadium that saw him as a protagonist many years before in the cadetteria, then in Serie A and finally in Lega Pro. In front of the 6 thousand at the Mazza, the images of Mirco's most beautiful goals were projected, in addition to the greetings of many companions of a thousand battles. Including the former Spallini Schiattarella and Lazzari.

The words spoken by his wife Eleonora and daughters Camilla, Sofia and Alice were touching and emotional, as they recalled the exceptional journey their husband and father have made in many years as a professional footballer. "It's a joke, I won't stop - says Ante7 to tone down the emotion with a joke -. I didn't expect all this, I'm excited. I'm proud of what I've done and achieved in my career: apart from a few goals and a few championships won, what I hold dear are the experiences I've had. I owe everything to football: I left from a small village in Molise at 14 years old thanks to an incredible gesture of love from my family, and I've honoured all the shirts I've worn. I've met so many people and played in so many cities, but what remains in the end are the personal relationships. I haven't wasted a single training session, always giving my all on every occasion.

I thank my wife Eleonora for the support she has always given me and my fantastic girls, and thanks to Ferrara. The bond with this city has been the greatest ever, even if I also had great satisfaction in Bari. After retiring I would like to stay at Spal and give my contribution off the pitch, we will talk about it calmly after the playouts. I dreamed of finishing my career here, I was obviously hoping for a more peaceful ending but now the most important matches of my career remain to be played: Spal cannot lose professional football."
