Francesco Baldini is not looking for excuses after the Solbiate Arno match. The Massa coach admits that Spal was not up to the task, especially in the first half, but he is convinced that they can secure salvation next Saturday. "It's a very bad result, but it can be overturned - the coach commented -. Provided that we provide an important performance like the one Milan did tonight. In the first half we were submissive: we struggled on the outside, which in previous games had been our strong point. We knew that our opponents have pace and legs, and that they are not physically easy to beat, but we had to do better. In the second half we did a little better, but it wasn't enough. Now the ball is in Milan's hands: all we have to do is show off a great performance next Saturday. It's not over: a few years ago against Vicenza we won the first leg of the playout 1-0, then it ended badly in the return leg. It's a result that hurts us, but we have to stay focused, the salvation issue is open". However, Mister Baldini does not hide his bitterness for his team's poor performance. "We tried to get back on track in the second half, but we were confused even though we did a little better - he continues -. In the first half we suffered the Rossoneri's three-man midfield, then we went to three. Now we have to evaluate how some players are doing, because Arena is not well, Molina took a knock and Haoudi has a problem with his ribs. But at the Mazza we have to give a great performance. Our attitude? Waiting for the opponents low does not necessarily mean being submissive, instead we struggled in midfield and on the wings. Knowing that we had to win took the pressure off Milan: now we have nothing left to lose. The negative approach is certainly not the result of underestimating the opponent: perhaps we were held back by the double result in our favor. The break? I thought about the substitutions and told the lads that we could have grabbed a draw. That wasn't the case, but we can come back in Ferrara".
