In October FOOTBALL on the pitch four Sundays out of 5: Spal calendar
Breathless months loom ahead for Di Carlo's team and its fans. Yesterday the Lega Pro announced the complete calendar of advances and postponements from the sixth to the eleventh day of the championship, and as usual, to make sure you don't forget anything it's worth carefully noting the dates and times. Bearing in mind, however, that they may be subject to change upon disposition of the Lega Pro for organizational and television needs. These are the commitments of Antenucci and his teammates: Recanatese-Spal (sixth matchday, Sunday 1 October at 20,45pm), Spal-Pescara (seventh matchday, Sunday 8 October at 18,30pm), Spal-Fermana (eighth matchday, Sunday 15 October 18,30 pm), Arezzo-Spal (ninth matchday, Monday 23 October at 20,45 pm), Spal-Sestri Levante (tenth matchday, Thursday 26 October at 18,30 pm), Torres-Spal (eleventh matchday, Sunday 29 October at 14). However, we must not forget that before the trip to Recanati the biancazzurri will have to play four close matches: Spal-Perugia (third day, today at 20,45pm), Juventus Next Gen-Spal (fourth day, next Tuesday at 20,45pm), Spal-Lucchese (fifth matchday, Saturday 23 September at 18,30pm), Cesena-Spal (second matchday, Wednesday 27 September at 20,45pm). But that's not all, because yesterday the Lega Pro also announced the outcome of the draw for the first and second qualifying rounds of the 2023-24 Serie C Italian Cup. Well, in the first act of the competition which will be played between Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 October, Mister Di Carlo's biancazzurri will host Sestri Levante at the Mazza stadium.
In case of passage to the next round, Spal (in the photo the general manager Di Taranto) will find the winner of the match between Arezzo and Lucchese. The regulations of the Serie C Italian Cup establish that all the matches of the first and second elimination rounds take place as a single direct elimination match and, in the event of a draw at the end of the two regular periods, extra time and possibly penalty kicks are foreseen.
