Four days of training camp to prepare for the direct clash with Legnago Salus in the best possible way. He decided this – somewhat surprisingly – Mr. Baldini finding the support of the management and ownership of the company in Via Copparo, who yesterday evening announced that from today until Saturday the team will be in retreat at the Football Hotel Antares of Villafranca di Verona, where they will train on the fields made available by the facility. The choice of the location in the province of Verona is quite curious, especially in view of the match against Legnago Salus. The white and blue club has specified that the decision was made based on the possibility of training directly on the hotel's playing fields, even if it is clear that moving away from Ferrara also has the objective of seeking the maximum concentration and avoid any further disputes against the group.
"We decided to undertake this retreat with the aim of preparing for the match against Legnago as best as possible and concentrating as much as possible on this delicate and important issue. season finale – explains the director of the technical area Alex Casella –. The moment we are going through requires unity and commitment from everyone: to overcome the difficulties we are going through we must strengthen our team spirit and raise our attention in a phase of the season in which we can no longer afford to give anything away to the opponent. Every member of the team and the club is aware of the importance of this moment and we are certain that, united, we will be able to face Sunday's match with the right determination and competitive energy". It is not the first time this season that Antenucci and his teammates end up in retreat. It had already happened last October, when after the humiliating 4-0 defeat in Campobasso the decision was made to send the team into retreat. On that occasion, however, it was revoked in less than 48 hours. Officially at the request of mister Dossena, who declared that in the first few days of weekly work following that defeat he had seen the right attitude in his players, determined to react immediately. Adding that staying in retreat would have been counterproductive for the athletes' minds. In reality, things did not go particularly well, because a few days later Spal ended up knocked out at home against Pescara with the usual amnesia on the developments of a corner. This time, however, the coach and club are convinced that going into retreat is the right choice, will it work?
