Gianluca Laurenti played the last professional championships of his career wearing the jersey of Legnago Salus. Moreover, also working on orders of Mr. Bagatti, who returned to the bench of the Veneto club during this season after the dismissal of Contini. The choice to send the team to training camp leaves the double ex perplexed, who invites not to underestimate the last of the class. "I remember having made practically only one punitive retreat at the time of Spal, when I was very young – explains Laurenti –. Clearly I played in many teams that had problems, but the decision to send the team into retreat was never taken. Personally, I consider it a sort of last resort, I don't know if it can be of any use. Furthermore, the most experienced players usually find serenity in their family".

Have you seen any Spal matches?

"Of course, some even live. To tell the truth, the squad seems up to the task, at least in terms of individuals. It's difficult to explain what the problem is with this team, which in a climate of negativity and depression must find the strength to save itself."

At Mazza, Spal hasn't won for four months.

"I was at the stadium during the match against Ternana and the white and blue crowd should only be applauded. Baldini's team was supported until the end, then it is clear that after the final whistle it can be contested. These are things that happen in a place like Ferrara, where in any case, unlike other cities, the fans are always at the team's side".

How will the challenge between his former teams end?

"I am moderately optimistic about Spal, mostly because they seem too superior to Legnago Salus in terms of squad. series C, especially at this point in the season, names and CVs count for little: it is on the pitch that we must demonstrate that we are stronger. And Spal risks being gripped by anxiety, after all the pressure will be all on the shoulders of Antenucci and his teammates".

How do you judge Mr. Bagatti's work?

"First of all, I have an excellent relationship with him: I was lucky enough to work with him right here in Legnago and we talk often. He is performing a small miracle, starting from a disastrous situation: he has a team of very young guys, who run a lot and fight for a salvation that would be incredible".

What memories do you have of Legnago?

"On a sporting level, it was great, especially the first season when we managed to stay up in Serie C: I arrived in January from Modena and had six very positive months. Unfortunately, injuries began to affect me and I left in January of the second season. However, I can only say good things about the club."

How is your St. Augustine going?

"Considering how things were going, pretty good. The situation was dramatic, but with two wins in a row we got back on our feet and now we need a final push to save ourselves. The team is strong, but also because of numerous defections we found ourselves in great difficulty. In Sant'Agostino, however, you feel good and I was very impressed by the seriousness of the club and the passion of the president".
