Spal afloat with away performance. Mazza has been without a victory for four months
Only Milan Futuro, Sestri Levante and Legnago Salus, teams that don't have fans, have done worse in home matches

Ludovico D'Orazio, decisive this year with the goal in Pescara
After finally returning to victory after eight races of abstinence, the Spal has the duty to break another spell: to make full loot at the Mazza Stadium after almost four months. The white and blues' record in front of their fans is becoming grotesque and unacceptable, as they haven't celebrated three points since last November 23rd against Torres. Since then, in Corso Piave Antenucci and his teammates have strung together a very long negative streak, with a balance of two draws and five defeats in the last seven home games. Moreover, against affordable teams such as Perugia, Sestri Levante, Milan Futuro and Campobasso, in addition to the more highly rated Vis Pesaro, Rimini and Arezzo. For several seasons Spal has struggled a lot to make the difference at the Mazza stadium, but this year they are breaking every negative record. Fortunately, away from home, the team led first by Dossena and then by Baldini has collected a few more points, to be precise 18 in 16 games.
With an average of 1,13 points per game, in the ranking that only takes into account away games, Spal is twelfth. Better than Ascoli, Campobasso, Gubbio and Perugia, in addition to all the others fighting to avoid relegation. The situation changes radically at home, with 13 points in 15 games, 0,87 on average and a trend that does not suggest anything good. Only Milan Futuro, Sestri Levante and Legnago Salus, three teams that cannot count on real fans and play their games in front of a few hundred spectators, have done worse in home rounds. And next Monday in Ferrara the Ternana, coincidentally the team that has the highest average points in the tournament away from home, 2,07 with a record of nine wins, four draws and two defeats. What is most impressive in the rossoverdi's numbers away from Terni are the goals conceded: just seven in 15 games. The Fere do not appear to be the ideal opponent to break the taboo of the Mazza stadium, but Spal has to start somewhere. And if you consider that the last home win for the biancazzurri was against a big team like Torres, anything is possible. By the way, after the one against Ternana, Baldini's team will play three more regular season home games against Legnago Salus, Pontedera and Gubbio, obstacles to overcome in the march towards salvation.
