He is the sports director Alex Casella to speak in place of mister Baldini after the Pesaro match. He does not hide the bitterness of the goal of victory having vanished for the umpteenth time, but he still manages to see the glass half full. "We paid dearly for the mistake we made at the start - he observes -, during a match in which we could and should have done more to try to win. We created several occasions with Molina and Parigini, without forgetting a dubious episode in the penalty area against Molina. The team tried in every way to grab the equaliser and succeeded, even if there is still the regret of having wasted the opportunity to get out of the playout directly. Let's take what is positive, that is, the continuity and solidity of the team, which apart from the initial episode has not suffered any shots on goal. Let's keep going: the coach and the players are focused. Of course, we didn't want to make the playouts, but with everyone's help, including the fans, we must achieve salvation. And next Sunday we want to overcome the Milan."

In the last four races the Spal would have deserved much more, but only collected crumbs. "It is difficult to analyze the trend of the last four games: we have conceded very little and created a lot, bringing home only four points even if we deserved at least eight. The boys will certainly give it their all: the team now has an identity and we are ready to face Milan Futuro in the playouts. But first let's think about beating Gubbio." Don't you think that in the second half Spal produced too little? "It's difficult to face a match like this and go down immediately because of a mistake: the backlash could have been even more severe, instead we created five goal-scoring opportunities." What kind of Spal will be in the play-offs? "Whoever played to get two draws has always lost. Spal creates a lot, and now they concede much less than before. Unfortunately we've hurt ourselves many times, but the team doesn't get demoralized anymore and tries to build."
