Spal saves in Primavera 2: 1-1 draw in the derby against Modena

La Spal closes the championship Spring 2 with a smile on their lips. The 1-1 draw at the Fabbri sports centre with Modena does not interrupt the streak of games without victories of the white and blues (13), but gives Pedriali's team the salvation. An extremely important milestone, in a tournament in which Serie A clubs such as Parma, Como and Venezia also participate.

But let's get to the Derby of via Copparo, where Spal started the first half with great determination. In the 15th minute, Kane sent in a cross from the left for Samaritani who acrobatically beat the defender and goalkeeper to break the deadlock for the home team. Shortly after, Barozzini almost equalised with a thunderbolt from the edge of the area that hit the post to the right of Zenti. In the 41st minute, Modena had a chance: Sarris kicked with a sure shot, but Zenti performed a real miracle, saving the result. The Spal goalkeeper was once again the protagonist in the 53rd minute, when he blocked a dangerous shot from outside by Moratti.

Modena equalized in the 58th minute with the same Moratti, who finalized a run down the wing by Barozzini: precise cross and easy touch in front of goal for 1-1. The yellow and blues tried to complete the comeback, but Spal reacted with pride. In the 65th minute Nejmaoui entered the area and kicked hard, but the Modena goalkeeper blocked it. Five minutes later, Nejmaoui wasted a great opportunity: after a run from his own half, he skipped past three opponents but in front of the goalkeeper he incredibly sent it wide. It ended 1-1, and next season Spal will still play in Primavera 2.
