Torres and Spal cancel each other out in the lunch match in Sassari

Ferrara, 6 April 2025 – Torres and Spal cancel each other out in the lunch match in Sassari, where Baldini's team was left kicking themselves for a series of wasted opportunities by Rao and Molina that could have given the white and blues three golden points.

Spal, on the other hand, must settle for a draw which only serves to catch up with Milan Futuro in fourth-last place (but the Rossoneri are ahead in direct clashes), -3 from Lucchese, +4 on Sestri Levante and +5 on bottom club Legnago Salus. If nothing else, the the white and blues play a game of character, staying on top of things from the first to the last minute against the third strongest team in the league.

An encouraging sign in view of the final rush, even if it would be better not to let certain opportunities slip away. At the Sanna stadium, mister Baldini decides to play with 3-4-3, with Spini, Molina and Parigini forming the trident and Nador in the midfield paired with Awua.

After a first half lacking in emotions, in the second half the match becomes more lively. Especially thanks to Spal who almost scored with Rao at the end of a controversial action in which Fabriani got injured, then Rao himself was hypnotized by Zaccagno in an attempt to dribble him. Finally, first Molina and then Rao missed a double sensational opportunity after a mistake by Casini in disengagement. And the result remained stuck at 0-0. sm
