Vis Pesaro in crisis: decisive challenge against Spal for the playoffs

For long stretches of the season, the Vis Pesaro has rightly been considered the revelation team of the championship. Mister Stellone had managed to build an almost perfect machine, so much so that the red and whites have consistently occupied the fourth and fifth positions, applying for the role of loose cannon in view of the playoffs. It's a shame that in the last two months the situation has changed radically: the experienced players who had dragged the group are physiologically taking a breather, the forwards are running out of steam and more generally Stellone's team seems to no longer have the hunger of the first half of the season, when among other things they authoritatively conquered the Mazza stadium.

In the last 10 days of the championship, only the Spal did worse than Vis Pesaro. Baldini's team has collected seven points (one win, four draws and five defeats), while the red and whites have obtained just one more. No one is doing worse at the moment than Vis Pesaro and Spal, who will face each other next Monday at the Benelli stadium in a match with a very different specific weight for the two teams.

If the home team is aware that they need to get back on track for the playoffs, but they are not in imminent danger, for the white and blues, snatching the points up for grabs will be much more important. To try to challenge Milan Futuro's fourth-last place and avoid any risk of being sucked up by Sestri Levante and Legnago Salus. Vis Pesaro has slipped to sixth place, and is looking with concern over its shoulders where Pineto and Pianese - respectively at -2 and -3 - are thinking of overtaking in the final days. Moreover - like Gubbio - Stellone's team will be in a certain sense the referee of the long-distance duel between Spal and Milan Futuro. After having faced the white and blues in front of their own fans in the Easter Monday match, the team from the Marche will visit Oddo's team on the last day of the championship. Many times during the championship, Spal has miraculously revived teams that have been on the ropes for a long time: this time, it must not happen.

REFEREE. Claudio Giuseppe Allegretta of the Molfetta section has been designated to referee the Easter Monday match between Vis Pesaro and Spal. The Apulian referee will be assisted by assistants Giacomo Bianchi of Pistoia and Stefania Genoveffa Signorelli of Paola, in addition to the fourth official Marco Mammoli of Perugia.
