Spezia also flies to Cittadella. One half is enough to tame the Venetians. A goal by Vignali and an own goal. And the Eagles secure third place

CITADEL - Of the three that dominate the season, it is the younger sister, however, to win, Spezia does not even need one of the... brothers (Esposito). Without Pio, the suspended top scorer of Serie B and with Salvatore never trying to score, Cittadella is still defeated with a double of goals at the Tombolato. The eagles remain at -5 from direct promotion (second Pisa) and at -7 from the leaders Sassuolo. But above all they extend to +11 on Cremonese (fourth), called to respond today on the field of Salernitana. D'Angelo's choices are 'conservative', so Vignali starts again at the start and has fun on the wing together with an unleashed Elia, finally in the mood for less prolonged dribbling. Everyone is waiting, however, to see Lapadula play, who has practically never trained with his teammates. His name is not written in the scorers list thanks to Maniero and personal demerit, but his position, his vision of the game, his sense of being in the right place at the right time, are still noteworthy. The one who continues to disappoint is Colak, who started in pair with Di Serio (also not significant). A first half dominated by the Spezia, because the formation with only one striker, did not yield any results for Dal Canto. In the second half, Spezia first let their opponents vent, then allowed them to project themselves forward with dangerous counterattacks, and finally created to close the match. Very high pace from the opening whistle for the boys in the blue jersey who arrived from Liguria, then Hristov forced Maniero to intervene, while Vignali (with his third goal in a row, unfortunately then left due to physical problems) took care of it after Elia's throw-in and Tronchin cleared, unleashing an uncatchable left-footed shot into the top corner. The doubling, on Chichizola's clearance, is a defensive mess with Carissoni who puts it with a lob behind Maniero under pressure from Reca. With the two strikers, in the second half, the Paduans do better, but Pandolfi kicks out after having burned Wisniewski and Hristov and subsequently finds himself in front of a super Chichizola, always accelerating on the Pole. The Lapadula-show, in the final, does not make the 500 arrived in Veneto celebrate: Maniero blocks his first conclusion, then sensationally misses it with his head on Falcinelli's cross. See you next time, because he, free in front of the goalkeeper, will always be there.
