Niccolò Bertola (center) will finish the season with Spezia: his move to Juventus fell through

Il winter market closed yesterday at midnight. At the time of going to press there were no new entries for the Spezia, neither for the central defender, nor for the Perugia striker Alessandro Seghetti, but only a tight negotiation with the Juventus for the sale of Nicholas Bertola. The sporting director Stefano Melissano, yesterday in Milan together with the CEO Andrea Gazzoli, tried to place the strong defender from Carrara at Juventus in extremis, but the very short time for the replacement of the player complicated the realization of the operation. Barring unpredictable last minute 'reopenings' of the deal, the central defender will therefore remain at Spezia until the end of the season, with the possibility for him to sign, starting today, with any club.

In the final analysis of this market, the judgment can only be positive because the goalkeeper Chichizola (contract until June 2025, with an option to renew) and the striker have arrived lapadula (contract until June 2026). And the Aquilotta group has been kept intact, without any illustrious transfers. Nothing to do for Salva Ferrer to the German team of Braunschweiger. Melissano has instead placed two young players of his own: Niccolò Lari has moved permanently to Vis Pesaro with the right to buy back, while the striker Riccardo Di Giorgio, employed by mister Terzi in the Aquilotta Primavera, has been diverted on dry loan to Sestri Levante in Serie C.

Striker Raimonds Krollis has returned to the base from his loan at Triestina, before being sold to Slovan Liberec. The Aquilotto sports director will explain, in more detail, during today's press conference to present Gianluca Lapadula, the strategies that have characterized the winter market of the white club. The role played by the new ownership in the final stages of this session is yet to be clarified. Closing that should materialize next Friday, in a notary's office in Milan. Platek, after the statement denying the sale of the company on January 15, will predictably say goodbye to the fans with a final official message.

Yesterday the pre-sale for Sunday's match between Spezia and Palermo started. Prices, also on this occasion, popular and without limitations. Over 10 thousand spectators are expected in the stands of the 'Picco', with yet another sold out of the Ferrovia curve whose coverage will be completed for the next home match against Catanzaro. Vignali will certainly be recovered for the match against the rosanero, Nagy, Sarr and Soleri are absent.
