Cycling, Roglic's 2025: "I'll be at the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France"

Roglic, instead, will start the season from Back to the Algarve in February, followed by the Volta a Catalunya in March: Slovenian will also be at the Great Boucle, with Alexander Vlasov as lieutenant. The Russian will instead be co-captain at the Return together with Martinez with the promise made to Think to try to confirm this year's success, brought by Roglic, which therefore postpones the appointment with the hunt for that fifth total victory which would be a record. "We had a successful season, but obviously we are ambitious and want more. Confirming the victory in a Great Tour - continues Think - is our first goal and we think it is within reach. In the long term, however, we want to establish ourselves as one of the most important brands in cycling, starting to have our say also in the other key events of the calendar, such as the week-long or one-day stage races, where our talents can show off".

Roglic's statements

  After Think, it's up to Roglic talk about his plans. "It wasn't difficult to choose the Giro d'Italia, which by the way will still pass near mine Slovenia. I usually focus on the Return, but this time I thought it was better to participate in the first Great Tour to then choose what to do next. And then there will be the Tour de France, a race that I care a lot about and that it would have been a shame to miss: I hope to do well in both, but above all in Giro d'Italia, which could have a more suitable path and which will not make me extend the season until Return". Among other things, a glimmer of light, albeit a very small one, to see Roglic in Spain would also exist. "The hunt for the fifth is a dream that I want to realize and a challenge that fascinates me, but this year I have other priorities: precisely Giro d'Italia e Tour de France".
