Youth Cycling. Cingolani and Fiorini super at the Grand Prix in Alto Adige

Second outing of the season and second performance of importance for the Petrucci Zero24 Cycling Team who shone in Alto Adige on Sunday, Rothoblaas Grand Prix – Mak Construction TrophyThe team from the Marche region won first place overall with Thomas Cingolani and the third with Edward Fiorini in the general classification, confirming the excellent start to the season given that the two had also climbed onto the podium last week respectively in the Tuscan race of Monte San Quirico and in the Emilian one, Gran Premio Cadelbosco di Sopra.

There are two scheduled trials: a 40,4-kilometer road race in the morning and a 5,4-kilometer individual time trial in the afternoon, reserved for the first 25 classified in the morning. On the fast track of the first trial, Philip Cingolani tried a solitary action that ended only 700 meters from the finish line. The race ended in a sprint, with Tommaso Cingolani and Edoardo Fiorini third and fourth respectively. Together with them, they also gained access to the time trial Andrea Gabriele Alessiani (16 °) and Julius Vitali (25 °).

Confirmation arrived in the afternoon: Tommaso Cingolani set the best time in the time trial, becoming the overall winner of the day. Third place for Fiorini, eighth position for Alessiani and twenty-third for Vitali.

Also on Sunday, the season officially started for the Esordienti and Giovanissimi categories. The Esordienti were involved in the GP Fioritura, with controlled trials and group arrivals for both the first and second year. The Giovanissimi, on the other hand, participated in the 1st Trofeo Pedale Aguglianese – Short Track in Polverigi: 19 Zero24 athletes at the start, in a race conditioned by the mud but full of enthusiasm, which saw the team classified third in terms of number of participants.
