Cycling, Finn makes his Under-23 debut: "I dream of stage races"
The Ligurian, in 2025 in the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe Rookie team, opens up about future goals: "I'm happy not to rush things. I want to think about what's best for me"

The Red Bull-Bora-Hangrohe (Ansa)
Rome, 3 January 2025 - In a phase that is anything but positive, Italian men's cycling is trying to cling to any spark: among them there is Lorenzo Mark Finn, who does not hide the fact that he has big plans for the 2025 and above all for the longer-term future.
Finn's statements
Intercepted by the microphones of CyclingNews, the Ligurian first commented on the choice of the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe to include him in the team under-23, thus avoiding the risk of rushing the stages. "The team and I agreed to continue the program in this way. Many juniors are not ready for the direct jump, even if sometimes it can work. However, I prefer to focus on what is best for me". The world champion in the junior category is right, having won in September at Zurich with an action from a distance that will make you rub your eyes and, above all, that will bring up heavy comparisons with today's cycling champions. Tomorrow's race will unfold in several key races, such as the Giro NextGen, Future Tower or World of category in Rwanda: all in the sights of Finn, who hopes to turn professional in 2027 to fulfill his dreams. "I hope to develop as a general classification rider, but I know it's too early to say. I also like one-day races and my favorite is the Liège-Bastogne-Liège".
New Funds for the Professional Cycling League
Who knows if in 2027, or maybe even earlier, in Italy there could be more cycling races also to relaunch a movement in great difficulty: this is what, optimistically, emerges from the Economic Maneuver approved in recent days by Parliament, which includes 7 million for the next 3 years to be allocated to Professional Cycling League (LCP). The process, which was successful, had been started by Robert Pella, Chairman of the LCP and also parliamentary and mayor of Valdengo (Biella). The funds, approved with the amendment, amount to 2 million for the 2025 e 2,5 million for the 2026 and the 2027: the aim is to enhance the Italian territory and the regions through the support of professional road cycling races, included in the calendar by LCP. This could lead to their implementation, as announced by the LCP with the introduction, starting from the 2025and Italian Regions Cup. The first 'experiment', dating back to the end of the 2024, was composed of 4 stages, while for the next edition we are hypothesizing well 21 runs, with the ambition of touching every region. Not only that: the 7 million, as confessed by P, could also be used to improve the quality standard of race broadcasting, to try to allow a more widespread diffusion of images, live or delayed, in Italy or even the world.
