The Ardennes Triptych continues with the Walloon Arrow, another Evenepoel-Pogacar challenge, but Skjelmose has already shown how to beat them

The 2025 route of the Flèche Wallonne
Rome, 23 April 2025 – Mattias won in a sprint in Valkenburg Skjelmose, surprise winner of the Amstel Gold Race on Tadej pogacar and Remco evenepoel, but the Ardennes Triptych comes to life and the battle will resume today, Wednesday 23 April, with the Walloon Arrow 2025, a traditional mid-week appointment with a view of the Liège Bastogne Liège, which closes the spring of the Monument Classics. The three-way race could be repeated, although the finale this time is different because, unlike the Amstel, it ends up climbing the Muro di Huy, the traditional Cote de la Flèche. All in just over a kilometre with maximum gradients of 20%: terrain probably favourable to pogacar, even if a bit of tiredness seems to emerge after Sanremo, Flanders and Roubaix, all raced at full speed by the Slovenian who this year is aiming for the Tour de France.
Timeline
205 kilometers for the 2025 edition of the Walloon Arrow which will start, in an unprecedented way, from town of Ciney to arrive on the traditional Wall of Huy. It will be a route divided in two, with a first part in line that will not decide the race, there will be the Cote de Ver and the Cote de Petite Somme, then you will enter the final circuit of 37 kilometers that this year includes three important climbs. There are three decisive Cotes in the Flèche Wallonne 2025. First the Cote d'Ereffe, which will be tackled for the third time at kilometer 186, then the Cote de Cherave, kilometer 199, and finally the legendary Wall of Huy, the climb that often decides the race. It is 1300 meters long with an average gradient of 9.6% and maximums of 20%: at the top is also the arrival of the Flèche Wallonne.
