Rome, March 29, 2025 - From dream and hope to reality: today Filippo Gana he is truly a man of Classics. This is what the new silhouette shown off at the start of this season by the runner from Ineos Grenadiers but, above all, the prestigious results obtained before the Milan-Sanremo 2025 and then to the E3 Saxo Classic 2025, respectively a second and third place that could not go unnoticed in view of the continuation of a year that is experiencing a first twist in terms of programming: the imminent Ghent-Wevelgem 2025, in truth snubbed by several big names, and is making great strides towards the objective called Giro delle Fiandre 2025, which is added to the prop already fixed on the Paris-Roubaix 2025.

The precedents of Ganna and the Italians in the Monument Classics

In fact, the first taste on Belgian soil went very well, with the Piedmontese capable of replying, albeit at his own pace, to the thrusts inflicted by Mads pedersen and above all from the winner Mathieu van der Poel on the walls: the first appointment with the hunt for revenge with the Dutchman should therefore be right on the occasion of the Classical Monument Flemish, scheduled for 6th April. In fact, both on this date and on the following Sunday, that of Paris-Roubaix 2025, the entire trio that animated the Milan-Sanremo 2025 now that also Tadej pogacar has been added to the startlist. The same Slovenian, in theory, was expected in these days in Belgium for the 'E3 Saxo Classic 2025 and then for the Ghent-Wevelgem 2025, but declined both invitations in order to better prepare for the next Monument. Returning to Ganna and to his double hunt on the horizon at Classics most sought after, the best result achieved at the Paris-Roubaix is the sixth place of the 2023 at the closing of the 4 appearances so far on the scoresheet (all in crescendo, starting from the out of maximum time of the 2018), while the previous ones at Tour of Flanders there are two: a retreat, always in the unfortunate 2018 and an anonymous 98esimo place in the following year. Since then, a lot has changed on the planet Ganna, starting with his physique, leaner and perhaps less powerful to always go uphill. The first seasonal feedback on this is excellent and has already emerged at Tirreno-Adriatico 2025, closed with an unexpected second behind the backs of those like Juan Ayuso is by profession (and by body) a true climber. The hour record holder himself has not hidden his desire to go beyond second place and start winning, possibly starting right from the Classical Monumentthat theItaly at the male level it does not affect 2021, the year in which in the unusual autumnal placement Sonny Colbrelli imposed itself on Paris-Roubaix. The latest success at Tour of Flanders it is dated instead 2019 signed by Alberto Bettiol: unless you have second thoughts, Top Ganna the task of trying to update the count, even with the certainty that in the meantime cycling has been enriched by phenomena of the calibre of pogacar e Van der Poel, just to stay up to date.
