Rome, June 16, 2025 – Vincenzo's Italian scratch Albanian in the second stage of Tour of Switzerland 2025. Timeline
There are 195 kilometers for the Stage 3 of the Tour of Switzerland from Aarau to Heiden, with an uphill finish. The first hundred kilometers or so are not particularly hard, approaching the cities of Zurich and Winterthur to enter towards Lake Constance, not far from the finish, and there the real battle will begin. The last 25 kilometers will be decisive, with a lot of jumping. First you climb towards Knollhusen (second category) for 5.2 kilometers at 6.2% and with the summit 17 from the finish line. Following the third category of Burisvilen, just 2 kilometers at 7%, then a grand finale towards Heiden with 3.4 kilometers of climbing with average gradients of 5.2%. You arrive at around 800 meters above sea level just above Lake Constance.
Favorites
It can be a breakaway stage for sprint riders. Julian Alaphilippe and Marc Hirsch they will want to give Tudor a joy, but Gregoire he will be careful to defend the leader's jersey, and also watch out for Ben O'Connor,George Bennett, Warren Barguil, Lorenzo Fortunato as possible major players.
