Rome, 14 February 2025 - The voice of the most present riders in the spring calendar, at least for the 2025, certainly not included Primois Roglic, which before the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France will be at the start of practically only two races: a considered choice of the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe even considering one's advanced age and one's priorities.

Aldag's statements

The Slovenian will in fact be awaited by the Back to the Algarve, Scheduled 19 al 23 February, and then from the Volta a Catalunya, which will begin on 24 March: to see him again in the race we will have to wait until the Giro d'Italia, for a decision that is explained to the microphones of CyclingNews da Rolf Aldag, sports director of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe. "We don't want to put races between Giro d'Italia e Tour de France. primoz, unless he has physical problems, is not used to showing up to races in bad conditions. He knows what he has to do and is not worried about his opponents. The first goal will be the Giro d'Italia: winning it would allow everyone a calmer and more relaxed approach in view of the Tour de France". An excellent approach, at least in theory, to take the pressure off a runner who is notoriously in the Great Boucle perhaps the only missing piece in a career embellished with several high notes. "We know that Roglic, despite his age, is still growing: we don't think he has reached his full potential. From what we see he is still improving, but obviously that doesn't mean we can have control over what riders of the calibre of Tadej pogacar e jonas vingegaard. We can only think about ourselves and say that if we do everything well then we will be competitive." In reality, to be competitive at Roglic It will also serve as a little extra bit of luck that was missing in a Tour de France abandoned in the 2024 due to a fall. "Regardless of that, last year we still made mistakes in the approach march to the Great BoucleWe faced a period of high altitude, then the Dauphiné Tour and finally another phase at high altitude and this probably brought the whole team with little mental and physical freshness to the Grand Départ. And when it is like this - he concludes Aldag - unfortunately you don't recover in a few days."

Pidcock's program

Meanwhile, the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team has announced the program of tom pidcock, the prized piece of its cycle market. We will start from the Tour of Andalusia before the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad: spring in Italy will touch Strade Bianche, Tirreno-Adriatico e Milan-Sanremo before Ardennes, with Brabant Arrow, Amstel Gold Race e Vallone Arrow in the program before closing at Liège-Bastogne-Liège. As regards the Grand Tours, there is still a lot of uncertainty caused by the wild cards that have yet to be made official: this is especially true for the Giro d'Italia, which in case of white smoke could be part of the British plans.
