The announcement came the day after the presentation of the Giro route, via an official press release from the parent company VismaThe Danish sprinter is will now focus on the Tour de France, as he himself declared, with the aim of conquering the great French cycling event again already conquered in 2022, to then focus on the other objective, namely the Vuelta a España scheduled to start next August and which will close the two-wheel season.
The great pink race loses another important protagonist: the absence of Vingegaard is added to that of Evenpoel, as announced by the Dutch sprinter himself even before the unveiling of the calendar, but also by the reigning champion pogacar. Now the big favorite becomes Primois Roglic, with great sprinters like Adam Yates, Colombian Richard Carapaz and Naio Quintana who could prove decisive especially in the high mountain stages, but also on the flat routes that will not be missing in this edition of the pink race. Now the curiosity is who will be able to dominate the climbs of the Alps, in particular the great classics on the hills of Vicenza and the Slovenian Dolomites, but also the great plains with the time trial Lucca-Pisa within the reach of great sprinters.
