Cycling, Milan and its goals: "I dream of the Classics and the yellow jersey at the Tour"
The Friulian talks about the season that has just begun: "I know I still have to grow, maybe putting the track aside. Ganna? He has everything to do well at the Milan-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix"

Rome, 5 February 2025 - The fishing season is getting closer and closer Classics, the first major goal of jonathan milan, who opened up about this to the microphones of IDL Pro Cycling.
Milan's statements
"I think we did well last year in terms of Classics. It is important for me to continue to grow as a runner and in these races you know that experience and luck are needed. I have learned a lot and I am making progress and I hope that this progress will continue this season. Both I and the team have strong ambitions: I will do everything I can to achieve the desired result, with the hope of succeeding". The first course of the rich menu of Milan could be the Milan-Sanremo. "I don't consider it a more important race than the Belgian ones, but as an Italian it still has its priority for me. Last year on the Cipressa I was already exhausted, while the knoll I faced it head on to try to be helpful. Now I know how it works: it's about saving energy to arrive fresher right on the knoll". In short, captaincy tests for the Friulian, who also sets his sights on the Northern classics. "I really like the Paris-Roubaix (which today revealed the route and the modification before the Arenberg Forest, ed.): it's a tough race that I've never finished due to falls, but despite this it still attracts me". In both these races the 2000-born rider risks experiencing a real all-Italian derby with Filippo Gana. "They are two races that suit his qualities very well. In recent years he has shown that he has grown and can have his say and I think the trend will always be this way". Both come from the track, an old love that is destined to be (temporarily?) set aside. "I am looking for victories, so I think I will scale back the track a bit. Last year it was mentally difficult to concentrate on the oval from mid-October, moments in which one could rest a bit more". Especially if in sight, for the following season, the one that has just begun, there is the Tour de France. "It will be a great challenge that I can't wait to face, without putting too much pressure on myself. In any case, the ambitions are there and they are the right ones. We all know that that race is something completely different, and for me it will also be new". The dream of Milan of many other sprinters is the first yellow jersey up for grabs from the opening stage of Lille. "I looked at the course: it's like a world championship for sprinters. The favourites are Tim Merlier e Jasper Phillipsen and many others, and also for this reason I don't want to put too much extra pressure on myself. I watch them when they compete and I try to learn as much as possible from them."
