As has happened in recent years, great cycling will also touch the province of Pesaro-Urbino in 2025. The first race that enthusiasts will be able to follow is the 60th edition of the Tirreno Adriatico. The start is scheduled for March 10 from Lido di Camaiore and will unfold over seven stages with the fifth: Ascoli Piceno-Pergola on March 14 for 196 kilometers dotted with fairly challenging climbs. The following day it will be Cartoceto that will kick off the sixth stage (Cartoceto-Frontignano).
This year will be the 60th edition of the Corsa dei Due Mari, which has become a true focal point of the cycling season, as confirmed by the latest editions which, from 2019 onwards, have seen the rise of riders who have won the Grand Tours such as Simon Yates, Primož Roglic, Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard.
Last year the sixth stage (March 9, 2024) started from Sassoferrato and ended in Cagli (Monte Petrano), in 2022 the Apecchio-Carpegna stage was run. Another event for 2025 presented the day before yesterday is the Giro d'Italia Giro Women (Giro d'Italia femminile). A year ago the 'Giro in Rosa' in 2024 saw Urbino host the fourth stage (July 10) Imola-Urbino with the caravan that then moved for the fifth stage to Frontone. This year on Friday 11 July the seventh stage Bellaria Igea Marina-Terre Roveresche-Orciano of 144 km will be run and the following day (Saturday) the eighth stage Fermignano – Monte Nerone of 157 km is scheduled, very demanding and surely the cyclists will have to give their best because it is precisely on this stretch that the Giro could be decided. Great cycling will certainly contribute to making the towns and villages of our province known and appreciated, also because both the Tirreno Adriatico and the Giro d'Italia Women will be followed by all the international media and live on television.
