Primoz Roglic on 2025: "I'll race where Pogacar won't be"

Rome, 15 October 2024 - There is a Slovenia at the foot of Tadej pogacar and there is another one who does not forget Primois Roglic, the one who even in a season studded with falls (not exactly a novelty) manages to bring home, above all, the 2024 lap, his fourth overall. Last year it was the turn of the Giro d'Italia 2023, but the constant is that the roll call continues to be missing Tour de France, the absolute woodworm made such by a then semi-unknown pogacar, In which 2020 surprisingly won the decisive hill climb La Planche des Belles Filles. Winning the Tour of Lombardy 2024, curiously, Tadej equaled the number of total victories (88) Of Roglic, but practically in half the years of his career: a race to which primoz he had said no for reasons explained by the person concerned.

Speaking at a charity event Nova Gorica, the 89-born rider explained the reasons for his withdrawal from the last major event of the season. "I had simply arrived at the end, with an empty tank. I was no longer able to go fast and so it was better to close the year and start looking, with the right calm, at the next season". Asked directly about the races scheduled in 2025, practically the curiosity that from now on affects every runner even in the middle of the holidays, Roglic surprises with a response that is half serious and half facetious. "I will do the races that he will not compete in Tadej, but I don't know which ones, because we still have to agree".
