Where to watch the Tour de France 2023 on TV and streaming: live free-to-air and paid
Still great coverage in Italy for the Grande Boucle starting on Saturday 1 July with the first stop in Bilbao

Paris, 28 June 2023 - Everything is ready Saturday July 1 for the grand departure of Tour de France from the Basque Country with the first stage in Bilbao. The French race is increasingly open abroad and in 2024 it will be Italy's turn with Florence and Bologna. Twenty-one stages will take the caravan from Spain to Paris where the Champs Elysees, the traditional arrival point of the Grande Boucle. There will be twenty stages in line and a single time trial to decide the winner of the yellow jersey and Jonas' successor vingegaard, 2022 champion. Few, very few, Italians at the start, only seven with Giulio ciccone credited together with Alberto Bettiol of the greatest hopes for a stage victory. There have been more prosperous years, but the spectacle remains, especially for what will be the real uphill challenge between the two favorite phenomena of the contest: Tadej pogacar and Jonas vingegaard. Enthusiasts will be able to sit back and follow the Tour both free-to-air and for a fee.
Rai and Eurosport to follow the Tour of France
Once again, national TV will tell the story of the 2023 edition of Tour de France. Strengthened by last season's numbers, Rai will cover the Grande Boucle on Rai Due with in-depth analysis starting from 14pm with Pomeriggio Sportivo, following the live broadcast of the stage approximately at around 14.45pm and concluding with an extensive post-stage program by Francesco Pancani. The state TV commentators who should feature one of Stefano on the news are not yet known Raised and Andrea De Luca, while Stefano Garzelli or Alexander Petaks they could act as a technical support. In the last edition the event generated an average audience of almost 2 million viewers on Rai 1,1 with a share of 18,6% among men. Upon arrival, the average audience rose to 1,33 million for a male share of 23,3%. In short, cycling in Italy remains attractive despite the lack of Italian contenders for stage races. Always at Rai there will also be live connections on Radio Rai 1 and in the evening Raiplay and Rai Sport Hd will provide extensive summaries and reports of the day's stage starting from 23.50pm.
As far as pay TV is concerned, it will always be Eurosport 1, Sky channel 210, the reference channel for the Grand Bouclé. There will be almost complete coverage of each stage starting from 12pm with Luca's usual commentary Gregory and Richard Magrini. Post-stage insights will obviously be provided with the words of the protagonists and analyzes of the race. For those who would like to rely on the streaming, Rai will offer the Raiplay website, while the Discovery group has the platform available DiscoveryPlus with commentary in both Italian and English. Also Dazn, through the broadcast of the Eurosport 1 channel, it will offer live streaming of the event.
