Atletica Estense shines in Modena and Bologna: excellent results and qualifications

Rain of great results for Atletica Estense in the sunny competitive weekend just passed, with the absolute sector in Modena for the regional phase of the 2025 track club and the youth sector in Bologna for the last available date for qualification for the regional club finals.

The important data for the Ferrara training of Athletics is that both women's teams have achieved their goal, confirmation of their place in the national B finals for the absolute competition on 14 and 15 June and qualification for the regional team final for the Under 16s on 24 and 25 May.

The two-day event in Modena with over two thousand athletes, both male and female, for the most important event of the regional season saw Giulia Giungi improve her time in the 5 km walk (27'12”), which brought her to the bronze medal, and Viola Visani achieved the same placing in the pole vault, jumping 3,15 metres.

Fourth place but with a great time in the 5.000 meters for Caterina Mangolini, who after six years improves by finishing in 17'35” and the “rain” of personal bests also involves Valentina Deserti in both the 800 meters and the 1.500 meters.

The last effort of the young athletes just last Sunday in Bologna thanks to Agata Mazzini (photo), who leaves her injuries behind and lands at 5,23 meters in the long jump, her new personal best.
