Super Anna Maria, Chicca, Mencoboni. The Paralympic athlete has once again outdone herself. Despite unbearable physical pain, due to her numerous pathologies, she won gold at the Italian Paralympic Indoor Championships in the high jump with a height of 1,10, but her personal best is a good 5 centimeters higher. Not satisfied, the athlete from Pesaro also won a silver in the long jump and a silver in the 200 meters. Unstoppable.

"For the 200-meter race I got angry - she says - because they put me in the first lane when there were athletes in the group who were running without a guide. When I registered I had expressly asked not to be placed in the first lane, because it is more dangerous and in Fidal races they don't even use it for Indoor races. They also called me for anti-doping and there was a moment before the race when I felt very pressured. Being called at 57 years old for anti-doping tests also made me smile".

Mencoboni then adds: "Once this championship, which was an adventure, is over, I'll get back to work because I have to regain possession of my gestures and all those movements that I acquired with great effort". And to think that before the Italian championships Chicca wanted to withdraw her registration: "Until a few days ago - she says - after a pitiful training in the high jump I wanted to withdraw my registration. Then I spoke with a dear friend of mine and great high jumper Elena Vallortigara who reassured me and I rediscovered my innate positivity even if sometimes hidden". Mencoboni is trained by Eraldo Maccapani and by the trainer Giancarlo D'Amen.
