The Monsummanese Andrea Romanelli, co-owner of the eponymous trattoria Valdinievole Antica dai Romanelli, won his first Italian master title, M35, over the 3 km indoor distance at the Pala Casali in Ancona, improving his personal best by 11”: he concluded the test, in fact, with the remarkable time of 14'16”.

A performance and a result of great prestige, which can only be considered a good omen in view of the World Masters Indoor Championships, scheduled from Sunday 23rd to Monday 31st March next Gainesville, in Florida, in the United States. On that occasion, our man will wear the blue jersey, defending the colors of the Italian master athletics team. Romanelli's satisfaction at the end of the race that crowned him champion was remarkable.

“I am very happy with what has been done. First of all, I would like to thank Track and Field Master Grosseto, my team: without it, I could not have achieved certain performances. Thanks for the support, thanks to Ernesto Croci who gave me this great opportunity. A special thanks goes to my coach, Alessandro Volpi. I'm going back to training with enthusiasm, to be ready for the world championship appointment".

Just think of last summer, when at Goteborg, at the World Championships in Sweden, he won 2 individual bronzes and 2 team silvers (10 and 20 km).
