A bronze and a fourth place: the mission of the Valtellina team at the sports hall of Camaiore for the final of Italian Indoor Tug of War Championship promoted by Figest, the Italian Federation of Traditional Games and Sports. Up for grabs, the title of Italian Champion in the 600 kg category and the promotional final in the 450 kg mix category. In the top category, the tricolor ended up in the trophy cabinet of the Bellatores of Monte Urano (Fermo). Silver for the Cobra of Fermo and third place for the Tiro alla Fune Valtellina team of Sondrio. In the 450 kg mix final, where the competing teams doubled compared to last year, the triumph was the Cobra of Fermo, who preceded the Bellatores of Monte Urano and the Cerberi Academy.

At the foot of the podium is the Tiro alla Fune Valtellina. But, "as often happens in the world of sports, not all days go as they should or as we imagined, despite the preparation, commitment and sacrifices of an entire year - the words of the Valtellina team -. What really matters, however, is how we react to difficulties, learning and continuing to fight with even more determination to reach our goals". After all, "we have always known: every setback is just a step towards growth and improvement and true strength does not lie in always winning, but in never giving up, as a united and true team as we are". The boys from Lombardy have one medal in common: "Now we have our minds on the final of the 640 kg category scheduled for Sunday in Morbegno", strong from the success in Camaiore.

Nicola Cappelletto, vice-president of specialties in Figest and Alfredo Dalla Luche, specialty councilor for the province of Lucca, were present at the event in Tuscany, testifying to the great importance of the competition in the national tug-of-war panorama. Matteo Capeccia, Figest manager of the indoor tug-of-war sector, underlined the excellent response from athletes and fans: "It was a day of sport and passion, which confirmed the value of the participating teams and the growth of this discipline. Congratulations to all the athletes and organizers for the commitment and dedication that made an event of this level possible". With a warm crowd and a high competitive level, the day of competitions at the Camaiore sports hall marked a further step forward in the promotion of indoor tug-of-war in Italy, leaving great enthusiasm for the upcoming competitions.
