Bonifica Race: the eighth edition of the Stefano Montori Memorial is underway in Ferrara

Running along the waterways of the reclamation. Today the 'Reclamation Race', a 12,5 km competitive race and a 7,5 km recreational walk that can also be done with your '4-legged' friends. This is the eighth edition of the 'Memorial Stefano Montori' organized by Uisp Ferrara Committee and Ferrara Plain Reclamation Consortium, with the contribution of private partners. An event that will have as its meeting point the historic Baura pumping station this morning.

The program includes the meeting of the participants from 8, departure at 10 with the competitive race on the distance of 12,5 km, a route that will touch the center of Baura, that of Pontegradella and Malborghetto, for the return to the Baura pumping station. Followed by the recreational motor race on the distance of 7,5 km. At 10.05 the youth races of the mini podistica will start, with five categories, divided into the different distances 300-500-1500 meters. At the end the pasta party organized in collaboration with the 'Fienile di Baura', a social integration project of the Cooperativa Sociale Integrazione Lavoro.

"I want to thank the Consortium - said Councilor Carità during the presentation - for the work it does in the area through initiatives that also involve important partners such as Uisp, Avis, trade associations and volunteers. These events allow us to make known the peculiarities of the Ferrara area and it is important that a hamlet is involved, which has nothing to envy to our historic center".

The 'Corsa della Bonifica' is as always organized in collaboration with Uisp. "An important synergy - said Claysset - with the Consortium that gives life to moments of valorization of the territory, from foot races to bicycle itineraries. The valorization of sports and motor activity is a moment of meeting and promotion of healthy lifestyles".
