The little flowers of silver and bronze are Matthew Danero e Alessia Balzini Warehouse Cus Siena Fencing branded Estra at regional qualification for Italian Cadet and Youth Gold Championships which took place in the new Fornacette facility in the Municipality of Calcinaia. The cussini demonstrated an excellent level of preparation and the right determination: in the men's foil Matteo Danero, born in 2009, showed, together with attention, good technique throughout the competition; thanks to the result of the preliminary round he skipped the round of 64 and in the board of 32 he defeated 15-2 Scarselli di Navacchio; in the sixteen he beat Rossi of Pisascherma 15-7, in the quarterfinal he beat De Cesari from Lucca 15-8 and in the semifinal 15-13 D'Avanzo of Pisascherma. In the final she lost to Pisan Tenze, four years older, winning the silver and qualifying for the national Gold under 20. Seventeenth Andrea Cannucci and thirtieth Riccardo Santaniello who played two good matches live, beating Nesi di Agliana in the first, 15-9, and then giving way to Pisan D'Avanzo, then bronze, but scoring 11 hits. In the women's field, a beautiful bronze for Piombino's Alessia Balzini, born in 2007, who after missing the 64-person board, in the 32 beat Pisan Rossi 15-8; in the assault for the eight-person final she beat the other Cussina Francesca Telese, finally 13th, who had previously beaten Livorno's Biondi 15-12; in the same 16pm draw, Natalia Fucci was defeated 13-15 by Pisa's Giannessi, finishing eleventh while Balzini, in the eight-way final, crushed Pisa's Rossi 15-7 before losing to the other Pisan Nencini in the semifinal, securing qualification for the national Gold.
