Geneva on the roof of Italy. The champion shines
Montemurlo's synchronized swimming continues to collect important results

Ginevra Marchetti with the Rari Nantes Savona
Rari Nantes Savona is the Italian champion in artistic swimming. And in the success of the Ligurian team that matured in Riccione a few days ago, there is also a well-defined imprint that comes from the province of Prato: part of the credit also goes to Ginevra Marchetti, who can all the more celebrate the absolute winter title won together with her teammates. The synchronized swimmer from Montemurlo, for years the standard-bearer of Futura of president Roberto Di Carlo, arrived in Liguria last summer to grow further.
And the results are proving her right so far, because in addition to the team laurel, she can boast another medal won in Romagna on the highest national stage: recomposing the duo with Gabriele Minak who made the fortune of Futura until last year, the athlete from Montemurro also grabbed a silver medal in the mixed doubles. To complete the picture there was also the presence of Simona Ricotta, technical director of Futura, who also trained the Ligurian competitors. Ginevra is in short experiencing a more than positive moment and not only in the competitive field, considering that only last week, with her teammates of the "junior" national artistic swimming team (capable of winning gold at the European championships in Malta 2024) she ended up in the Guinness World Record. The group of competitors she was part of took part in the Mediaset TV show "Lo Show dei Record" with the aim of getting into the pool and breaking the record of three underwater rotations while remaining hooked together with their legs. And they did it, managing to complete five. First the world record, then the double medal at the Riccioni national championships: the impression is that Marchetti will hardly forget this 2025. And the season is only halfway through: there are still all the necessary foundations to get further satisfaction, already looking ahead to next summer and the Italian national championships.
