Latest results. Regional championships. Atletica Prato shines

Medals and top placings, in various disciplines. This is the balance that can be drawn by theAthletics Prato, with the people of Prato competing in competitions held throughout the Toscana (and not only). The greatest satisfactions came from regional championships: Margherita Lapi won the gold medal in the long jump and the consequent title of Tuscan champion, recording a personal best of 5.23 meters. Her teammate Delia Mongatti instead grabbed a silver medal in the triple jump, with a performance of 11.20 meters (gaining access to the Italian "student" championships). Luisa Rizzo dominated in the hammer throw, winning with 34.06 meters, and finished with a silver in the discus throw. Second place also went to Elbenezar Renzar Ogemo in the pole vault, while Gabriele Mottilo finished fifth in the triple jump.

In Carrara, in the indoor meeting valid as the Tuscan championship and "promising" Damiano Ferrari triumphed in the shot put with a throw of 14.14 meters (with Achille Esposito fourth in the 50 meters). In the Tuscan championship of indoor multiple events, the cadets stood out. Francesco Curcio, in the 800 meters, won bronze with a time of 2:11.43, while Giorgio Masi, participating in the tetrathlon, took second place with a score of 2611 points. Nicola Bondi, Christian Cogliati and Davide Frisoli took part in the third regional test of the Gran Prix di cross, in Siena, performing well in the 5 km (while Leonardo Fallani and Fabrizio Salemi represented the club at the meeting in Parma running the 50 meters). A delegation from the Prato club finally took part in the Italian youth championships held in Ancona: positive results for Ines Grillo, Ginevra Nieri, Morgana Gnan, Lorenzo Tesi, Sofia Innocenti, Francesca Borsini, Giada Martino and Celeste Nuti.
