VIAREGGIO – The episodes that ultimately make the difference, but that ultimately result in a 5-2 that could make you believe there was no match. Instead there was a match, too bad that in the end it was Bassano who celebrated. We were talking about the episodes, decisive episodes. And the first of these arrives, sensationally, just 5 seconds after the start of the match. Ball in the center and served behind to Galbas (increasingly the top scorer of the championship) who fools Gomez for the 1-0. From the series ready-go and Cgc starts the match already behind.

Cgc, however, fights, creates, and above all reacts. Lombardi, in particular, confirms himself as an extra weapon, to the point of suffering a long sequence of fouls and above all to find, with a great diagonal, the 1-1. Cgc is alive and believes in it. D'Anna engages Verona, who will be a great protagonist of the contest, then after a shot by Stuccato that Gomez deflects onto the crossbar, the deserved 2-1 for Viareggio arrives. Cinquini leads the restart and serves captain D'Abna who finds the net with a great diagonal. With 5' to go in the first half, the game is overturned, but Bassano is not a great team by chance. Gomez saves himself in a great way on Riba's shot, but then can do nothing about Silva's shot set up by Galbas. With 4' to go, we are at 2-2.

A result that Gomez preserves through skill, parrying Riba's direct shot (blue to Lombardi), and a bit of luck, since Silva's subsequent attempt hits the crossbar. Then, however, two more episodes materialize; fetal episodes for CGC and which will direct the final outcome of the contest. With 45 seconds to go, two other decisive episodes materialize in sequence, which will, in fact, decide the contest. Riba shoots from distance, the ball passes under Gomez's arm who, with a twist of the hips, manages to stop it. Line or not, for the referees it's a goal. A cold shower that becomes very cold when, once again Riba, with 14 minutes to go, scores the 4-2 with a diagonal, on the counterattack and after a foul by Rosi in the area. In short, CGC goes down 4-2 without even realizing it. The second half is dominated by the black and whites, but the episodes are still against them. D'Anna and Mura try, then Muglia misses two direct shots, while Galbas finds, on the counterattack, the 5-2.
