Word of Elena Guarducci, who commented on the second place achieved in a international level competition. And after the podium placings achieved in recent years at youth level, she has also managed to establish herself among the "big" on the European stage: in Riga, Latvia, a few days ago the "European Cup Senior"of judo, which saw some of the best athletes on the continent compete.
The judoka from Prato, trained by her father Andrea of Jyu Shin Ryu Prato, competed in detail in the "-48 kg" category, managing to eliminate prestigious opponents such as the Spanish Sanchez by ippon. A triumphal run that stopped only at the last act, in an all-Italian final with her rival Valeriani. In the end, Elena achieved a silver medal which gives us hope also in view of the next competitive events of a season that promises to be as demanding as it is exciting.
After a more than positive 2024 in terms of feedback, the young competitor from Prato has started her "international" 2025 in the best possible way. "I thank my technicians - concluded Guarducci, upon returning from the Latvian trip - Odalis Revé of Kyu Shin Ryu Prato, Marco Andrei, of the Libertas Firenze company, as well as the Akiyama company from Settimo Torinese, for their continued support". And her attention will already be on the next challenge: Elena is preparing for the stage ofEuropean Cup Senior of Dubrovnik, which will take place in Croatia in the first days of next month. And after the last result obtained, the goal for her remains to confirm herself at these levels, repeating herself.
