Leonardo Cialini triumphs at the 4th Stormo Race in Grosseto

Leonardo Cialini (Uisp Chianciano) beats the favourite Jacopo Boscarini of Atletica Costa d'Argento, and wins the Race 4th Wing. A great success for the fourth round of the circuit of Uisp running Run in Maremma, the traditional race inside the airport Grosseto organized by the Asd 4° Stormo, with 180 athletes at the start. The commander of the 4° Stormo, Davide Dentamaro, was also there to do the honors. "It was a day of celebration - says the colonel - with a great participation for an event that has been repeated for years. It is really beautiful to see so many people passionate about sport, which embodies those main values ​​that unite the action of the women and men of the 4° Stormo: collaboration, sacrifice, a goal that can only be achieved through commitment".

The duel between Cialini and Boscarini, separated by a handful of seconds, was the main focus of the race, and was resolved in the last kilometre with a powerful attack by the runner from Uisp Chianciano, which repeats the success at the Grosseto airport obtained in 2019. "It was a great satisfaction in this very particular race, in a beautiful environment and on a splendid day – smiles Cialini –. There will certainly be an opportunity to return to Maremma".

The podium is completed by the usual Gabriele Lubrano, Atletica Costa d'Argento. The others are further behind, starting with Edoardo Tonani, Ymca, and Michele Checcacci, Team Marathon Bike.

Everything went according to plan among the women, with Anna Katarzyna Stankiewicz of the Marathon Bike Team flying ahead of Italia Tedesco, La Galla Pontedera, and the other Marathon Bike representative, Micaela Brusa, by almost two minutes. "We are very happy with this eighth edition, which was attended as always, enjoyable for athletes and companions - says Fabio Santilli, director of the Asd 4° Stormo, who took care of the organization - I in particular am satisfied with the participation, but also with the help that is given to me, so I have to thank my entire team".
