After the crackling start of February and March, with the duathlons in Tuscany and the international trip to Oman, the first half of this spring season saw great exploits for OlimpiaColle. In the name of continuity, Alessandro Renzi made three appearances in the triple: two in the sprint distance (750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running) and one in the Olympic distance (1.500 m swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km km running). Renzi's first ring in Marina di Pisa. Around 300 starters and the Colligian standard bearer did himself honors with a hundredth place overall (18th in the S4 category, 1h18'44'' the final time). Not even 24 hours of break and the athlete gave an encore in the Sprint Triathlon of Lake Chiusi, which placed him in 46th position overall and eighth in the S4 category (1h34'14''). Finally, the icing on the cake was in Marina di Grosseto, this time on an Olympic distance (1.500 m swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running), absolute debut for Renzi, and a new solid performance in 2h20' for a very respectable placing ( 81st overall and thirteenth in category S4). Monster race at IronItaly in Lido di Jesolo for OlimpiaColle captain Giuseppe Anatriello (in the photo) who competed in the Middle Distance (1.900 meters swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running). Having returned to competitions in Lido di Volano after an injury, with a very difficult performance in a climate that was more winter than spring, Anatriello redeemed himself in the Jesolo event. Anatriello set the champion's mark by recording a highly prestigious result (86th place overall, eighth in the M45 category – 49 in 4h20'48'') which earned him qualification for the 70.3 World Championship to be held in Taupo – New Zealand in 2024.
