Pistoia, March 23, 2025 – Despite the weather warning issued by the Region, the 36th Pistoia Half Marathon took place under an unexpectedly clear sky. The organization, managed by ANCoS APS of Confartigianato with the support of the CAI of Pistoia, Atletica Pistoia and the Municipality of Pistoia, approached the event with great apprehension, fearing bad weather. However, already on Saturday it was clear that it would only be rain, without any particular critical issues.
Thus, at dawn, under the sun, over 600 competitive runners lined up at the start from the industrial area of Sant'Agostino, with the patronage of CONI. Numerous non-competitive runners also took part in the event, including the Fibromyalgia Association and “I Maratonabili”, which allows wheelchair users to participate in competitions.
The presence of the is significantReviews Regional, with the support of the Prato section. The race, valid for the provincial championship Uisp, introduced a new feature this year: the “mini run”, a race dedicated to the little ones, who faced distances suited to them with great enthusiasm. The route, to be repeated twice, crossed some of the most suggestive points of the city, offering a unique spectacle with the long avenue in front of the Confartigianato invaded by runners. An exciting sight both at the start and at the finish. Great satisfaction for the success of the event was expressed by Roberto Bonistalli, Chairman of the Cai Pistoia Running Group, who underlined the growing commitment required to organize high-level events.
An undertaking made even more complex by the adverse conditions of the previous day, marked by incessant rain and a theft that deprived the organization of a gazebo, tables and materials intended for refreshments. The photo shoot was curated by ETS Give Me a Smile, with images indexed for searching by bib number.
