No one like Corradini. She won the 'combined'

Reggio responded present to the Italian cross country championships played in Cassino: at individual level Nicholas Cornali ofReggio Athletics, recovering from a boring flu, is third in the Promises category, 15th overall in the 10 km race overall with the seniors. At team level, however, the Corradini Excelsior Rubiera won the women's combined ranking, which adds the scores of the athletes in the Absolute, Junior and Allieve categories and is therefore the Italian cross-country champion club for the year 2025.

We also add the excellent performance among the cadets by Cristian Menozzi of Self, who with his fifth place contributed significantly to the bronze won by the team ofEmilia Romagna, both for the men's ranking and for the combined men's and women's ranking.

But let's go back to Rubiera, to talk about a "historic" result for Corradini who, despite having already won various tricolor podiums in the women's categories, had never succeeded in the feat of the combined which obviously demonstrates the value of a team, from the smallest to the largest. It is a great satisfaction for the company that repays, above all, managers and technicians for the work done on the "yellow-green" youth team, composed of many work groups, in Rubiera, Pavullo, Montecchio, Verona and Massa. "It's true, we had never won it - says president Marco Benati - despite always making ourselves count, especially at a national level. We add a beautiful memento to the showcase that will last over time".

There were many joys, even on an individual level, with small and large sporting revenges to be taken: such as that of Sara Nestola, forced to retire on this very course last year, and who on Sunday always ran a race at the head, in the presence of athletes of great prestige such as the European 10.000 meters champion, Nadia Battocletti. Sara obtained a beautiful 5th place (4th in the Italian championship) and together with her teammates Enrica Bottoni 28th, Ivana Iozzia 37th and Alice Cherciu 72nd, conquered 5th place in the senior rankings. At team level the juniors did even better, obtaining 4th place thanks to the placings of Carlotta Denti 20th, Diana Del Rio 24th, Iris Battelli 25th, Ludovica Mervini 57th and Alesia Gijkolaj 62nd. The young students, thirteenth in their club, placed Claire Diarra in 60th place, Chiara Masetti in 114th, Giulia Tonioni in 116th, Beatrice Giusti in 141st and Anna Stella Ferrari in 150th.
