Nuoto Empoli: seven podiums. Plus 4 medals at the regionals

Other great satisfactions have arrived at home Tuscany Empoli Swimming Team from the recent events in which the young athletes of the Via delle Olimpiadi club took part. Let's start with the seven podiums won by the Debutant white and blues in the eighteenth edition of the Europe Trophy. TNT Empoli, the organizer of the inter-regional event in the covered municipal pool at Serravalle Park, accumulated 38,50 total points, thanks to four silver medals and three bronze. In the Novice A category, Daria Mihaela Mare stood out with two second places in the 50 breaststroke and 200 medley, in addition to the third obtained in the 100 breaststroke. In the women's section, Caterina Fabiani came in second in the 400 freestyle, third in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 butterfly. In the men's field, the almost debutant Diego Croccia instead ranked twelfth in the 50 breaststroke, fifteenth in the 50 freestyle and sixteenth in the 100 freestyle. We then move on to the Esordienti B, the category that includes the youngest competitors in the swimming discipline, where Teresa Vivaldi acquired second place in the 200 freestyle and fifth place in the 50 butterfly, while Leonardo Faggioli came in third in the 100 freestyle and fifth in the 200 freestyle. The club Genova My Sport won the eighteenth Europa trophy, preceding Abc Pisa and Hidron Firenze in the general ranking.

Previously, the Empoli swimmers had also shown off at the regional championship of the Category, taking home four more bronze medals in the men's sector. The third step of the podium was taken by Pietro Testi in the 100 and 800 freestyle, Andrea Nania in the 100 butterfly and Leonardo Andrea Doccini in the 1500 freestyle. Good placings also for Sirio Bartalucci, Stefano Borzellino, Mattia Firenzuoli, Leonardo Mancini and Gabriele Pagliai. Finally, the performance of the 4x100 and 4x200 freestyle relays was also positive, with Domenico Cassiano, Leonardo Andrea Doccini, Leonardo Mancini and Andrea Nania arriving tenth.
